HAAA! Boko Haram Attack Chibok Community Again, Brutally Butcher 12 Innocent Civilians, Including Mothers, Children; Police Recover Corpses
In a grim incident, the Borno State Police have officially confirmed the recovery of 12 lifeless bodies following an assault by Boko Haram on the Gatamarwa and Tsiha communities in the Chibok Local Government Area. The spokesperson for the Borno Police Command, ASP Nahum Daso Kenneth, verified that the assailants, armed with AK- 47 rifles, invaded the two communities on Monday, firing indiscriminately.
Kenneth stated, ” The gunmen shot sporadically at the people in the two communities. So far, 12 corpses were recovered and two were injured. ” In response, the police commissioner and other security leaders have initiated a discreet investigation to apprehend those responsible for this heinous act.
Reports from Daily Trust indicate that the terrorists targeted Gatamarwa around 5 pm during New Year celebrations. Heavily armed with AK- 47 rifles, the insurgents arrived on motorcycles and in Hilux vans, opening fire on mourners returning from Gatamarwa.
Subsequently, they attacked Tsiha near Shikarkir, resulting in three fatalities and the abduction of a young lady. The assailants further exacerbated the situation by burning houses and looting foodstuffs.
Expressing profound shock, the Middle Belt Forum (MBF) responded to the renewed attack on the Chibok communities. On New Year’ s Day, Boko Haram insurgents struck, claiming the lives of 11 mourners and three others. Dr. Bitrus Pogu, the National President of MBF, conveyed that the attackers were clad in military uniforms.
