BLOODY DECEMBER! ! Teenage Boy Brutally Stabbed To Death While Defending Friend, See Where The Killer Was Found
In a tragic turn of events, 16- year- old Mduduzi Mnkandla’ s simple request for a packet of jiggies from his father led to a heartbreaking confrontation at a local borehole in Hope Fountain, Umguza District, just over two weeks ago. Standing up for his friend against a bully, Mduduzi found himself battling for his life after being stabbed with an okapi knife by a fellow villager.
Mduduzi’ s father, Mphiliso Mnkandla, vividly recalled the last moments he spent with his son on the late afternoon of Saturday, December 9. Little did Mduduzi know that the casual request for snacks would result in a tragic chain of events. Mphiliso left to buy kapenta fish for supper, only to return an hour later to the devastating news that his son had been stabbed at the borehole where villagers fetched water.
The assailant, identified as 19- year- old Ntandoyenkosi Ncube, had reportedly engaged in a confrontation with Mduduzi and his friends over the cleaning of an okapi knife in a water bucket belonging to another villager. When Mduduzi intervened to protect his friend, he was fatally stabbed in the stomach. The injured teenager was rushed to Bulawayo United Hospitals (UBH) but was declared dead upon arrival.
