A yet- to- be identified person was found dead inside his Toyota SUV, in G. R. A, Benin City, Edo State, as gathered by news media.
The deceased, who was sitting in the driver’ s seat at the steering wheel, with his seat belt still fastened on, was found at Ikpokpan Junction, on the morning of Thursday, the 21st of December.
However, there were not any signs of injuries on the man’ s body to suggest that he was violently attacked.
Police operatives saw the man, with the pockets of his trousers and the inside of his car, ransacked, suggesting that it was a robbery operation.
Investigators at the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Edo Police Force, are now trying to identify the man and reach out to his family, as his phone is missing.
According to the public relations officer of the Edo State Police Force, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the matter, he said that the only clue the police have is the receipt from a hotel with the name, Dr. Eromon David.
” The dead body (of the victim) was found inside a dark blue Toyota 4Runner with Registration number Lagos FKJ- 39 FB at Ikpokpan junction, G. R. A, Benin City, this morning (Thursday), ” the PPRO stated.
” When police officers checked the car, they found that the phone of the man, along with other valuables, were missing because the car was ransacked.
