NEWS FLASH: Kano police re-arrest repentant suspect for robbery, declare 72 wanted
The Kano State Police Command has rearrested a suspected criminal ring leader who repented recently, Bahago Afa, alongside six others for armed robbery.
The command added that its men had neutralised several networks of criminals that had turned the state into a hub of thuggery, armed robbery, and other criminal activities.
The state Commissioner of Police, Usaini Gumel, disclosed this while parading the rearrested ring leader and six others on Friday.
“Already, there are over 700 repentant criminals on our lists, and anybody among them that dares to go back will be declared an enemy of peace just like Bahago Afa and others,” he said.

According to Gumel, the suspects were arrested in their hideout.
He added, “Today, we have taken care of Daba ‘thuggery’, but they are today carrying out robbery activities, and conducting an organised crime that is now nothing but robbery.
“All those that are declared enemies of peace, 72 of them are wanted and anywhere police or any other person sees them, they should arrest them and bring them before the police.”
