A deadly collision which took place on the Oru Ijebu- Igbo road in Ogun state early on Wednesday morning, 20th December 2023 resulted in the fatal killing of three passengers, leaving several others in critical condition.
When contacted, an eyewitness who doesn’ t want his identity revealed to the general public claimed that the driver of a Toyota Camry, who appears to be still under training on how to drive, made a mistake while operating the vehicle, resulting in a collision with a tricycle commonly known as KeKe Napep.
” The car driver left his lane and miscalculated, only for him to hit a tricycle into the ditch. Among those dead was the tricycle driver” , the anonymous source disclosed.

Reacting to the unfortunate occurrence, the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE) correspondent, Babatunde Akinbiyi verified the event in a brief interview with news reporters saying that the owner of the Toyota Camry escaped with his family after realizing the casualties that has taken place.
Narratively, , he divulged that, ” the Toyota Camry owner, wife, and his child were inside the vehicle, as he was teaching his wife how to drive. Unfortunately, he was doing that on the highway. Which is even wrong on itself and an offence on its own. The woman was driving, and the man was in the other seat, maybe there was a disconnect in the process or probably the woman or the man was carried away” .
