JUST IN! Fubara Disobeys Tinubu Despite Signing Peace Deal With Wike, SEE What He Did That Shocked Everyone
Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has failed to honour the peace deal he signed in the presence of President Bola Tinubu and has refused to withdraw his suit against the State House of Assembly.
Fubara’ s agreement to withdraw his suit against the State House of Assembly was one of the resolutions reached during his meeting with President Tinubu on Monday aimed at ending all the political crisis in the state.
Tinubu’ s intervention came after the disagreement between Fubara and Wike polarized the state House of Assembly, leading to the emergence of factional leaderships.
However, at the end of the meeting that lasted about two hours, eight resolutions were made.
Firstly, Tinubu mandated Fubara to immediately withdraw all matters he instituted in the courts in respect of the political crisis.
Secondly, Tinubu mandated pro- Wike lawmakers to immediately drop all impeachment proceedings initiated against Fubara.
Other resolutions include: ” The leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly as led by the Martin Amaewhule shall be recognized alongside the 27 members who resigned from the PDP.
” The remunerations and benefits of ALL members of the Rivers State House of Assembly and their staff must be reinstated immediately and the Governor of Rivers State shall henceforth not interfere with the full funding of the Rivers State House of Assembly.
