Heartbreaking news from Glen View as a domestic dispute turns fatal leaving a widow and her young children in shock and distress. Tawanda Musingi, a kombi driver from the area, faces allegations of murdering his wife, Rujeko Masanga, in their home.
According to reports, the tragic incident happened in the couple’ s residence where their two minor children, ages 1 and 5, were present and witnessed the violence. The pair had a heated argument over Tawanda’ s alleged involvement with another woman, he reportedly assaulted Rujeko with a weapon, resulting in her tragic death.
The scene took a further disturbing turn as Tawanda reportedly proceeded to hang his wife’ s lifeless body in their bedroom, with their young children as witnesses, the neighbors were deeply shocked by the heart breaking event. A tenant was said to have encountered Tawanda in a distressed state, naked and claiming that Rujeko had taken her own life.
However, this explanation raised suspicion and Tawanda was soon taken into custody by authorities, it’ s been revealed that the couple had been experiencing ongoing issues due to Tawanda’ s extramarital affairs. Rujeko, who financially supported the family through piecework, was reportedly the victim of her husband’ s infidelity.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the arrest of Tawanda and advised couples to seek help from the police or community elders when confronted with such disputes. He stated, ” Police arrested a Glen View man in connection with a murder case, the accused person was reported to have had a misunderstanding with his wife. “
