Angry School Teacher Behaves Like A “Madman”, Punches & Beats Student To DEATH Over This SHOCKING Reason
Residents of Bulawayo were left in absolute shock and reduced to tears over a tragic and heartbreaking occurrence that took place in a secondary school named Hamilton High School whereby a teacher lost control of himself and beat a student mercilessly, which resulted in his immediate hospitalization at a nearby medical facility where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Quite unfortunately, the accused teacher named Gcinani Nyathi, 40 years of age has been apprehended for the above- mentioned act and arraigned before a regional magistrate court in Bulawayo which is presided over by the judge, Vivian Ndlovu who postponed the case to 4th January, 2024 after the defendant having a hand in the death of the victim, adding that he only disciplined him for not doing his homework.
Explaining further, the prosecuting attorney testified against the defendant and presented several eyewitnesses to back up his claims saying that, the teacher realized that the deceased was dozing off in class, not realizing that he was having a serious headache and medical condition. In response to this, the defendant, Nyathi approached the student and punched him severally on the head without even bothering to know what is making him sleep in his class.
Sadly, the student cried out for assistance, but no one came to his rescue and the brutal attack went on. Later on, the teacher asked the students to submit their assignments for the previous class but it appears to be that the victim was yet to do his own. At this point, the teacher became more furious, picked up a cane and started beating him to stupor until he fainted. At this point, the victim was rushed to Mpilo Central Hospital for emergency care as he wasn’ t breathing any longer. Unfortunately, he died not long after being rushed to the hospital.
Meanwhile, after the tragic event, Nyathi was taken into custody by nearby police officers who were notified of the situation. A allegation of culpable homicide has been brought against the accused teacher due to the the grievous implications of his misconduct.
The unexpected event has caused a stir in the community, bringing up issues about the safety of students and duties of teachers to provide a caring atmosphere for their students as well as correcting them in a civilized manner. A young life lost tragically has left Hamilton High School in a state of mourning, with students, parents, and staff trying to make sense of what happened and why such a terrible incident occurred most especially when the year is already coming to an end.
