President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Berlin, Germany, to participate in the G20 Compact with Africa Conference scheduled for Monday. Nigeria Air Force 1, the official presidential plane, landed at the Willy Brandt Berlin Brandenburg International Airport around 1:17 am on Sunday.
Upon arrival, President Tinubu was welcomed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and Charge D’Affaires of Nigeria’s Embassy in Germany, Ambassador Ingekem Regina Ocheni. The G20 Compact with Africa (CwA) Conference, slated for November 20, 2023, will be hosted by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
President Tinubu is expected to join other Heads of State and Government from CwA member countries, bilateral partners, and Heads of International Organizations. The conference aims to discuss the immediate enhancement of economic and business cooperation, outlining concrete measures to boost investments in critical areas such as energy, trade, infrastructure, and new technologies. Simultaneously, the Fourth G20 Investment Summit, co-hosted by the German government and German business associations, will take place.
