World needs peace for countries to thrive — IAWPA
The Oyo State chapter of the International Association of World Peace Advocates (IAWPA) has said the world needs peace in order for countries to thrive and fulfill their God-given potential.
The Oyo State director of IAWPA, Dr Mohammed-awal Musa Alongbija, stated this when members of the association paid a courtesy visit to the International Mayor of Peace and Global Diplomat, Apostle Mustapha Oni, popularly known as “Sebioba” at his church in Gbaremu, Idi Obi area of Ibadan on Sunday.
Dr Alongbija, while speaking during the visit, explained how the war between Russia and Ukraine is affecting the economies of several countries, as well as the Israel/Gaza war, just as he added that “this is the time for peace to reign in the world.
He appreciated Apostle Oni for his contributions and generosity towards the association, adding that the primary objective of the association is to foster peace in Oyo State, Nigeria and the world at large.
Responding, Apostle Oni thanked members of the association for the visit, just as he appreciated the efforts of world peace president, Per Stafsen and international spokesperson for the association, Emmanuel Nkuweke, for their concerted efforts in preaching peace to the world.
