Pal-V to Release First-of-Its-Kind Flying Car for Limited Buyers in 2024
Dutch manufacturing company Pal-V has created a groundbreaking innovation in the form of the Liberty (pioneer edition) flying vehicle. This unique flying car is set to become available for purchase in 2024, targeting a select group of buyers in Europe and North America. These fortunate individuals will have the opportunity to own this advanced vehicle for a price of $527,000 (€499,000).
The pioneer edition is an upgraded version of Pal-V’s standard model and comes with full options for both flying and driving. This innovative car operates using hybrid fuel based on e-fuels and features a two-seat design that can seamlessly convert from a car to an aircraft in just a few minutes. It is designed for medium to long-distance travel, offering an impressive 817-mile (1,315 km) range on the road and up to 310 miles (500 km) in the sky. With just one fuel stop, it can effectively double its range. The vehicle can reach speeds of up to 100 mph (160 kph) and maintain safe flying altitudes of 11,000 feet (3,350 meters).
Pal-V has highlighted the safety and versatility of this vehicle, making it accessible to a wide range of users. Beyond private use, it has potential applications in various sectors, including policing, defense, and first response.
Furthermore, Pal-V has secured approval for road driving and is anticipated to obtain approval for flying in the early part of the following year. Once these approvals are in place, the company will commence delivering these innovative flying cars to the limited number of buyers.
The first-of-its-kind flying car is currently on display in Munich, Germany, and is open to interested parties for viewing until the end of the month.
