Unusual Incident: Man Found Dead While Standing in a Park
A man identified as Wahab was discovered dead while in a standing position at a truck garage in Ojodu Berger, Lagos State. The unusual and unsettling incident took place as truck drivers arrived to pick up their vehicles.
According to sources at the scene, there were no visible signs of physical violence or injuries on the body of the deceased, who was wearing only black shorts.
Eyewitnesses recounted the discovery, stating that on a Tuesday morning around 8:30 am, they found the young man standing and resting his head against a wall at the truck garage, initially assuming he was still asleep.
The man appeared disheveled and rough. Someone attempted to wake him by gently tapping him, but he remained motionless. Upon closer inspection, it became evident that the man had passed away while in a standing position.
Promptly, an individual reported the incident to the local police station in Ojodu. The police arrived at the scene and subsequently took the man’s body away.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and stated that the body was transported to the Mainland Hospital mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased.
