President Bola Tinubu expressed his unwavering commitment to success, emphasizing his dedication to meeting the expectations of Nigerians who entrusted him with leadership. During a three-day retreat themed “Delivering on the Renewed Hope Agenda” for ministers, presidential aides, permanent secretaries, and senior government officials at the presidential villa in Abuja, he urged his team to assist in achieving this goal.
Tinubu acknowledged that he, like any human being, might make mistakes but assured that he would promptly correct them when pointed out. He emphasized that his officials are there to help him succeed.
The President declared his commitment to all Nigerians, regardless of their political affiliations, stressing that the nation is like one large family with various rooms. He aimed to strengthen relationships and provide hope to the people.
Addressing the participants, he warned against viewing the ministers as temporary figures and highlighted the importance of partnerships to contribute positively to the nation’s growth.
Tinubu accepted the assets and liabilities of his predecessors and urged his team to remain focused and deliver on their responsibilities despite the chaos around them.
He emphasized the significance of good healthcare and quality education as essential tools to combat poverty and assured foreign investors of a conducive environment to invest and repatriate their profits without hindrance.
At the end of the retreat, Tinubu emphasized the establishment of a mutual understanding between the participants and himself, assuring them that strong performance would be recognized and encouraged, while those unable to perform would be reevaluated.
