The Army chief also assured that soldiers would enjoy a befitting accommodation under his watch.
He also promised in a statement on Saturday by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig. Gen. OZnyema Nwachukwu that plans were ongoing to improve the service delivery of Army’s hospitals across the country.
The COAS, according to the statement, gave the assurance during the Passing Out Parade of 6,000 Recruits of the 85 Regular Recruit Intake, saying, “This will enable the hospitals to handle battle casualties.”
He reaffirmed that the Nigerian Army would continue to give troops’ training and welfare the priority it deserves, assuring that currently emphasis was on the renovation of accommodation facilities that were in a deplorable state, while efforts were also being made to provide additional ones.
He said that soldiers deserve the best accommodation the service can provide when they are not on the frontline.
