BREAKING: EKSU woos police, DSS for improved security
The management of Ekiti State University (EKSU) has sought greater partnership with security agencies for safety and improved security in and around the campus.
The team, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Edward Olanipekun, paid separate visits to the Commissioner of Police, Dr. Dare Ogundare; and the Director of State Services, Ekiti State Command, Mr. Bolade Olori.
Bode Olofinmuagun, EKSU’s Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, in a statement, said Olanipekun, during the visits, appreciated the security agencies for their efforts in combating crime and maintaining peace in the State.
He assured that the mutual cooperation with the security agencies would be sustained.
The team also visited the Iworoko Ekiti Division of the Police.
Olori commended the management for the matured manner security issues were being handled in the university.
On his part, Ogundare gave kudos to the university management for not recording any major crime since his assumption of office.
The security chiefs assured the university management of their readiness to offer necessary assistance in ensuring that crime rate is reduced drastically in the university and the State in general.
